Grid and Bear It
Hello houseguests, and welcome to this week's Power of Veto Competition. This competition is called "Grid and Bear It", and here's how it work:
On AIM with a staff member, you will get to search either the Living Room, Kitchen, Backyard, Parlor Room, HoH Bedroom, or the Shiny Bedroom for missing Vetoes. You will receive a decorated grid like the one below.
You must guess a two-letter grid coordinate (Exp. AZ would be the top left corner, and GT would be the bottom right. The rest of the letters are filled in on the official grids) to see if there are any hidden Vetoes or Slop.
Silver Vetoes- Add 1 point to your score, and increase your score multiplier for consecutive vetoes. (A second silver veto would be worth 2 points, and so on and so forth).
Golden Vetoes- Multiply your current score by 2, and will add to your score multiplier that affect the silver vetoes only. (If your second veto was golden, the third veto would be worth three points if it was silver).
Slop- Will get rid of half the points you've collected so far, end your score multiplier, and will earn you 1 strike. Three strikes, and you walk away from the veto competition with 0 points.
Blanks- Will not help or hurt your score, but will eliminate your score multiplier.
If you are worried about getting your third strike, or losing any amount of points you have, you can stop at any point willingly and keep whatever you have.
Do we get hints to help find the vetoes and stay away from slop?
Why yes, you do in fact!
Yellow numbers tell you how many vetoes (Gold OR Silver) are in that row or column. Green numbers warn you of how much slop are there as well. EVERY LOCATION has 10 silver vetoes, 2 gold vetoes, and 9 cans of slop. The only difference in grids is where the items are placed. This is to prevent cheating (not that any of you would ever do that).
If you have any questions, please ask. Good luck and happy searching!
